Call for Application: Latin America Regional Student Activities Committee

Call for Application: Latin America Regional Student Activities Committee 150 150 IEEE EMBS

Dear EMBS Student Members in Latin America,

We are excited to announce a call for applications for Student Section Representatives and Regional Student Activities Committee (RSAC) Officers in Latin America.

The EMBS Student Activities Committee (SAC) recently launched an initiative to establish RSACs and Student Regional Representatives (SRRs) around the world. The goal of this initiative is to provide a more tailored approach to serving the unique needs of students in each region, increase the visibility of the society, and provide valuable leadership opportunities for students.

We are now looking for enthusiastic and dedicated student members to serve as Student Section Representatives and RSAC Officers in Latin America.

As a Student Section Representative, you will serve as a liaison between your student section and the RSAC. You will help coordinate local activities and events, promote the goals and objectives of the EMBS, and foster a sense of community among EMBS student members in your region. As an RSAC Officer, you will work with other student members in your region to develop and implement activities and events that are relevant to the specific interests and needs of the students in your region. You will help increase the visibility of the EMBS in your region, and gain valuable leadership experience that will be a valuable asset as you move forward in your career.

SSRs and RSAC members play a vital role in promoting and supporting student involvement in the EMBS. You will be responsible for coordinating local activities and events, and serving as the main point of contact between the EMBS Student Activities Committee and the Latin America RSAC.

To be eligible for the position of SSR and RSAC Officer, you must be a student member of the EMBS in good standing, conversational English level, and have a strong interest in promoting the goals and objectives of the society. You must also be able to commit to a two-year term of service (Until Dec 2024). Further information can be found in the application form here.

Applications will be reviewed by the EMBS SAC, and successful applicants will be notified by April 30, 2023. We encourage all interested student members to apply, regardless of their academic background or level of experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the EMBS community in Latin America and gain valuable leadership experience. We look forward to receiving your applications and working with you to advance the goals and objectives of the EMBS.

Sincerely,

Bryan Aleman
